I hate the New York Yankees. I hate them with a burning passion in my heart and soul. Obviously the Yankees won their 27th World Series title on Wednesday night. But could the Yankees moment of fame be their overall defeat?
I’m not much of a baseball guy. I cringe when I have to watch highlights on “SportsCenter” of baseball teams doing the same thing every game. But when it comes to the World Series, count me in.
I will watch almost any kind of championship game or series. Of course my favorite is the Super Bowl but I will watch the Stanley Cup, World Series, and even the NBA Finals.
The New York Yankees defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 7-3 last night in game 6 to secure their 27th World Series title.
The reason I believe that the Yankees are eventually going to overrun themselves is because they are under too much pressure from fans. It’s a championship or bust.
It’s a really bad position to be in when you are as good as the Yankees are. With winning their 27th championship, fans expect more out of the Yankees than ever before. And in the end, that will be their defeat.
