Tonight your Coppell Cowgirl volleyball team was able to silence the Plano West Wolfpack. Out of five potential games, four were played, Plano taking the first game 25-23 and Coppell rallying to take the next three to come away with the win.
All four games were fairly close, with the exception of the second game where Coppell took a commanding lead early on and ended up winning 25-17. In game three the teams stayed close from start to finish, going all the way to an advantage situation where the score went back and forth until Cassidy Pickerel put it away with an ace, ending the game with a score of 29-27. Game 4 was the closer of the series where the Cowgirls lead nearly the whole match, and sealed it with a 25-20 victory over the Wolfpack.
Coach Green, although pleased with the win and the overall play of the Girls this season, still sees plenty of room for improvement.
“We still won, and we struggled and battled through some things,” Green said. “So I can find some good things with it, but not our best performance.”
