Nauyokas prepares for junior year

Nauyokas prepares for junior year

By Sophie Nauyokas
Graphic Designer

Welcome back fellow CHS students! My name is Sophie, and I am one of the new graphic designers for the Sidekick Newspaper. Although we all would like to pretend otherwise, summer has indeed come to an end and it is time to get back to our academics.

As a Junior, one of the main stresses of my life is college. Where to go, how to get in; it can all be very confusing and intimidating. Sometimes the best thing to do is take a step back and prioritize. Although taking multiple AP classes may make your life very difficult, colleges see the effort you put out and recognize it.

And then there is the SAT- a test that takes us a grand total of 3 hours and 45 minutes to complete and has the power to determine whether or not we get into the college of our dreams. As daunting it may seem, if you sit down and study, the test will reflect your effort.

So buck up fellow Cowboys and put the time and effort into your academics because in the end it will all pay off.
