Tuesday night against the Orioles, Josh Hamilton hit four home runs (not to mention a double), only the 16th time a batter has done that in MLB history, making the feat more rare than a Perfect Game. The Rangers won 10-3.
Earlier this road trip, Beltre more than proved that you can’t intentionally walk the batter in front of him. Last time Hamilton was intentionally walked with Beltre on deck, he turned it into a 3-run home run.
This is the first time anyone has done this for the Rangers in their 40-year history.
After losing the last three straight series, the Rangers are up two games in this four game series against the O’s. Both teams, going into tonight, were tied with the best record in MLB at 19-10.
