Today, April 10th, marks the beginning of the 2012 district track meet.
All schools in Coppell’s district including, Southlake, Keller, Keller Central, Keller Fossil Ridge, Justin Northwest, Saginaw and Denton Guyer, will be competing. Preliminaries begin today for all open events except for the 800, 1600, and 3200 meter races. From todays events the top 8 competitiors will move on to tomorrows events where the field will be cut down substantially.
Tomorrows events are for all the marbles. The top 3 competitors in every race will move on to the regional meet which will take place at a to be decided area. Coppell’s relay teams and competitors are confident that they will stack up evenly and will be competing in regionals.
