The Coppell Cowboys basketball team will get a shot to beat their rival Southlake, tonight away at 7:30pm for the first time this season.
The Cowboys have had great success so far posting a record of 15-4 entering tonight’s game. This game also matters more due to the fact that the Cowboys are 0-1 in district play so far. Southlake has not done as well however and are 10-10 overall on the season. They are however 1-0 in district.
Whether the teams are doing well or not rivalry games are usually very close and filled with excitement due to the fact that more focus is are put on these types of games. Also with Coppell winning state in volleyball and Southlake winning state in football this can be looked at as an essential tiebreaker. If you do make the trip look for senior guard Warren Oishi, senior forward Austin Mankin and senior forward Jett Raines as they seem to be the leaders of this team constantly assisting each other and helping the rest of their teammates get the win.
Directions to the game in Southlake can be found here.
