New Year’s Eve and The Sitter to be released tomorrow

With the weather getting colder outside there’s nothing better to do than to go to the movie theater and sit down with a nice warm tub of popcorn and a good movie.

New Year’s Eve and The Sitter are two highly anticipated films that will both be opening in wide release tomorrow, Friday December 9th.

New Year’s Eve features an all-star cast: Halle Berry, Jessica Biel, Jon Bon Jovi, Abigail Breslin, Ludacris, Robert De Niro, Josh Duhamel, Zac Efron, Hector Elizondo, Katherine Heigl, Ashton Kutcher, Seth Meyers Lea Michele, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michele Pfeiffer, Hilary Swank, and Sofia Vergara. There’s someone for everyone. New Year’s Eve is a romantic comedy and it tells of the intertwining stories of a group of New Yorkers as they figure their way through romance over the course of New Year’s Eve. The film is rated PG-13 and is directed by Garry Marshall, who also directed Valentine’s Day, a film very similar to New Year’s Eve.

For those who prefer straight up comedy The Sitter, staring Jonah Hill from Evan Almighty and Knocked Up, might be more of your cup of tea. Hill plays the role of Noah, a suspended college student living at home with his single mom. He is talked into babysitting the three young and misfit kids next door and he decides to take them on a journey. The night takes a wild and dangerous turn for the worse and Noah has to figure his way out of the mess. The film is rated R and is directed by David Gordon Green who also directed Pineapple Express.
