You may have watched NFL games this month where the players were wearing pink towels, shoes or gloves with their uniforms in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness month.
The Coppell Cross Country team will be participating in the Susan G. Komen “Race for the Cure” this weekend. The cross country team usually participates in other schools’ meets on Saturdays, but not this time.
The cross country team is looking forward to the event because it will be more fun and laid back than the more competitive meets that they run during the rest of the season.
The annual event will be held at Northpark Center in Dallas. More than 20,000 people are expected at the race. It is not too late to register, although if you would like to participate in the event you should hurry because registration closes tomorrow at noon.
