Every year, before the sun comes up on a crisp mid October day, thousands of people in the Dallas area come together to continue an ongoing fight that man is struggling to win: breast cancer.
The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is an annual event where survivors and supporters of breast cancer come together to rejoice another year of life and begin another year of fighting for the cure. This year the race will be held at the NorthPark Center in Dallas on October 15th. It has recently been announced that the Coppell Cross Country team will be participating in the event.
Although there are two races, a 1K and a 5K, the team will be competing in the longer run. The atmosphere of the race should be lighter and more fun than a regular meet making this a highly enjoyable event, and it’s even for a good cause.
Not just the race itself, but the whole environment is a wonderful experience that can be taken dearly to heart. Come out an support the Cowboys and Cowgirls, or even run along with them. To register for the race, or for more information about this years race, click here.
