Friday September 2, Coppell High School had their first pep rally of the year. With different performances, it definitely pumped up the students for tonight’s game versus the Arlington Colts.
The out door pep rally was a great experience for the students of CHS. The pep rally started of with a performance from Vivace singing of the National Anthem. Then the Lariettes preformed a field pom routine to “Come on Feel the Noize”.
Following the Lariettes, freshman, junior varsity, and varsity cheerleaders preformed a western theme cheer routine. However, halfway though the routine, there was some technical issues with the music. The cheerleaders continued to preform and finished the dance with a standing ovation from the audience.
The pep rally ended with the annual Spirit Stick Contest, a competition where each of the grades competes for the Spirit Stick by yelling a chant. The senior class ended up winning the competition by demonstrating their pride for CHS.
Students look forward to the rest of the year’s pep rally, and hope they are as good as the first.
