The Coppell High School Red Jackets program has been going for a few years now but this year the number of applicants in slowing down the process.
This year 152 juniors applied for this prestigious position as Mr. Hunt’s ambassadors of the school but this year the Red Jackets Selection Committee is changing up the selection process. This year, not everyone who applied in getting an interview. Instead, the selection committee is reviewing the students attendance record, grades, leadership essay, and outside recommendations so that the committee can cut down the number of students who will be interviewed. From these juniors who get an interview spot only 28 to 32 members will be accepted which makes this organization one of the most competitive at the school.
More information can be found in a letter being sent out to all the applicants during school today, April 21.
