The lacrosse team has had an up and down season but after beating the number one team in Texas, Saint Marks on Monday April 11, everyone on the team is ready for another suspenseful game tomorrow night, April 15 against the Highland Park Scots.
Tomorrow night, the lacrosse team will be taking on the defending division 1 state champs. Highland Park, also having a tough season, still has a winning record but if the lacrosse team can deliver a win tomorrow they could possibly knock Highland Park out of their playoff spot. I think that it is highly likely that we will win tomorrow because of a few reason including injuries, team play, and preparedness.
First off, Highland Park is currently suffering from multiple players including few starters with ACL tiers. This forces HP to move up some of their less experienced players to fill who will not be ready for our teams high- paced rate of play and suffocating defense. Second, Coppell, coming off of their big Saint Marks win, will be ready to play and be pumped up to show that they are ready for the defending champs. Last, for weeks now the Coppell team has been playing tough teams from instate and out of state which has given the entire team a lot more experience with high quality teams.
Tomorrow, Friday April 15, the Coppell Cowboys will be competing against the Highland Park Scots at Highland Park stadium at 7:30 p.m.
