For many high school students, personal entertainment often takes priority over charity events. However, there are enjoyable ways to do both at the same time.
One such opportunity is the Coffeehouse 2011 event at the First United Methodist Church of Coppell. News of the event has been spread largely through a facebook event page, where over 1000 people have been ‘invited’ to the event.
The annual Coffeehouse will benefit Project Help, a food pantry in Dallas. There is a small entry fee in exchange for a night of listening to local bands and eating a meal of pizza, soft drinks, and candy.
The event takes place March 25 at 7 to 11 p.m. at the FUMC.
