It’s official. Super Bowl XLV will be a classic match-up between two of the leagues most historically successful franchises; the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers will meet in football’s biggest game on February 6 at Cowboys Stadium. Both teams overcame big leads early and comeback attempts by their opponents to punch their tickets to Arlington. The NFC champion Packers earned a Super Bowl berth with a 21-14 win over the Chicago Bears, after three road wins in the playoffs. The Steelers won the AFC championship by defeating the New York Jets 24-19 a week after beating a tough Baltimore Ravens team. Both teams will bring thousands of fans to the Dallas area in the next two weeks as they face off to determine the world’s best football team. It should be another Super Bowl classic between two historic teams. The wait is almost over, football fans. North Texas’s first Super Bowl is less than two weeks away.
