CHS9 student Tapasya Shah is a member of the 2024-25 executive student council board. Shah strives to develop communication skills throughout CHS9 and is rooted in her passion for teamwork building.
Why did you want to run for the executive board?
I wanted to gain an opportunity to give back to our school by helping plan events and impacting our school. My aim is to help build communication to become one bigger family at CHS9. Some of my campaign strategies were talking to my friends about why I would be the best fit and presenting all the skills I have to offer and how I can commit to that.
What are you most excited for this school year?
I’m most excited to help [English teacher Erin Begle] and the other executive board members plan events and share ideas with each other on how to improve our school.
What will your future look like at Coppell?
I hope to continue being a board member of the student council and helping plan events. I hope to leave a legacy of my image as a student council leader and how I was able to improve our school during the year.
What are your relationships with other members of the board?
I am close with most of the other members and have known them throughout middle school so I have pretty strong bonds to start with. I’m planning on getting to know the other members I am not fully familiar with to build communication throughout the team.
