  • On Wednesday, the Coppell Chamber of Commerce hosts the State Fair of Texas Celebration at Frost at 12 p.m. at Coppell Financial Center.
  • On Wednesday, the Coppell Chamber of Commerce hosts a candidate forum for Congressional District 24 candidate Sam Eppler at 9 a.m.
  • On Saturday, Coppell Historians Panelists meet at Cozby Library and Community Commons for its 50th anniversary at 2 p.m..
  • On Sunday, Cozby Library holds its “What you don’t know about AI” lecture at 2 p.m..

Truth masked in lies
According to Governor Greg Abbott, out of the total 150 seats in the Texas House, 79 are expected to vote for school vouchers, which would allow families to choose the school their child attends using taxpayer dollars. Minori Kunte is a senior and the art editor and staff cartoonist for The Sidekick. She spends her time singing for the Madrigals and A Capella. In her free time outside of school, she enjoys painting scenic locations she’s spotted and making vlogs of her vacations for herself and her family to watch. Her favorite movie of all time is The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. She enjoys watching Anne With An E and The 100, while snacking on Brookside Acai Dark Chocolate and Skinny Pop.
