She takes a breath and smiles, looking at the phone camera in front of her. Tapping the phone, the familiar countdown begins.
Three…two…one…
“Hey guys! This is Brianna, and here is my outfit of the day!”
Coppell High School senior Brianna Henderson has captivated the social media world with her infectious passion for fashion, gaining a substantial following of 18,000 on TikTok on her account @brezyh.
Her journey into the spotlight began as a simple way to unwind from the pressures of school, but it quickly blossomed into something extraordinary, showcasing the power of self-expression through style, regardless of one’s background.
Sophomore Theodore Henderson, Brianna’s younger brother, sheds light on her early years and the evolution of her interests.
“She always loved shopping and thrifting,” Theodore said. “I wasn’t that into it until later on, when she started getting me into fashion. She’s more or less the same, she’s just doing her TikTok a little more.”
Senior Jaedin Khuc has continued to be inspired by Brianna’s unique fashion sense through her continuous passion in their shared interests, like thrifting and shopping.
“I was into fashion at that time too, so I would notice her outfits,” Khuc said. “She helps me with my outfits sometimes because I’m colorblind.”
Despite initial setbacks in gaining a following, Brianna persevered, sticking to her passion and gradually building a dedicated audience.
“I started my TikTok account in ninth grade, my first viral video was a thrift haul that got around 100,000 views,” Brianna said.
Brianna’s success on TikTok has introduced new elements into her life, like managing sponsorships and scheduling her posts. Her biggest collaboration so far has been with Grapevine Mills mall, and she envisions using her platform to support her future career aspirations in interior design.
“In the beginning, I posted just for fun,” Brianna said. “But now, with more attention, I’ve started getting sponsors.”
She values the support of those around her and sees TikTok as a creative outlet rather than a career path. Looking ahead, Brianna sees TikTok as a potential avenue for future opportunities.
“Being an influencer is not my number one priority,” Brianna said. “It could definitely turn into something that could make me successful. But right now, I just want to keep posting videos and growing my following.”
Her humility and dedication to her life shine through, reflecting a young influencer with a genuine passion for style and self-expression.
As she moves on to UNT for interior design, in the halls of CHS, Brianna is more than just a TikTok star; she’s an inspiration to her peers and a reminder that anyone can make their mark, one outfit at a time.
