Ten years is a long time, enough for people to grow into themselves, become an adult and be a part of the real world. For some, this might be having a charcuterie board side business, for others, it might be craving for corn dogs from your hometown.

In this episode, The Sidekick’s staff writer Lizzie De Santiago and designer Aasritha Yanamala sit down with Addy Buigas-Lopez and Michelle Pitcher, two Coppell High School alumni who graduated ten years ago, to talk to them about how their high school experiences impacted them as people and what has changed since they walked the stage.

Elizabeth De Santiago is a junior and second year staff writer for The Sidekick.  Her passion for writing stems from her childhood love of writing fictional stories. Throughout her time on The Sidekick, the thing she values most is the human connections she gets to make with people through her stories. Outside of The Sidekick, she likes to listen to obscure music genres (specifically Japanese rap), skateboard, draw and drive her red Jeep Islander, Lilo, around town. Some of her favorite artists include Twenty One Pilots, Clairo, Elusin, Underscores, Awich and Yeule. Elizabeth loves trying anything new especially when it comes to creative outlets she uses to express herself. Aasritha Yanamala is a sophomore and first year staff writer  on The Sidekick.

Wendy Le, Executive Social Media Editor
Wendy Le is in her third year in The Sidekick as a senior and the executive social media editor. Throughout her time in this program, she’s found joy in doing things and going to places she never thought she would’ve: standing on the sidelines, in the back of the Black Box Theatre, political rallies, learning how to use Adobe, taking photos, making social media graphics and writing features.  Le does have hobbies outside of D115. When she’s not scouring to get things edited or feeding The Sidekick social media accounts, she likes to brain rot on TikTok, craft new Pinterest boards, go thrifting and take photos on her digital camera.
