On a cold Friday night in Coppell, the Coppell High School show choir Vivace! performs the songs they’ve been rehearsing for weeks in the CHS Auditorium. Their smooth dancing is paired with the skill of maintaining a steady voice singing the words to a number of songs.
Vivace! performs their Fall Show this Friday and Saturday in the CHS Auditorium at 7 p.m..
The tickets will be $10 for general admission, $5 for Coppell ISD students with ID and free for CISD staff with ID.
The students performing are using their new class work This performance is the first of the year where Vivace! is officially being recognized as a show choir. Vivace! used to be an after school club prior to this year, this school year is the first time Vivace! is taking place as an official class period.
The setlist includes a number of songs that discuss self empowerment to celebrate individuality that is an important part of Vivace! as a choir.
The songs to be performed are “Me Too” by Meghan Trainor, “Kala Chashma” by Amar Arshi, Badshah and Neha Kakkar, “I Ain’t Worried” by OneRepublic, “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman and “Shut Down” by BLACKPINK.
“I am most excited for our songs like ‘Kala Chashma’ and ‘Shut Down,’” Coppell junior Monica Tupurani said. “Because those are the songs in different languages and I think it represents the diversity of Vivace!.”
