Nandini Muresh

It’s another one of those days, and I’m about to fall asleep. Then, the door bursts open and The Sidekick photo editor Nandini Muresh struts in.

“Guys. Have you seen Taylor Swift’s new video?”

It’s another one of those days, but luckily Nandini is in it. Nandini’s energy is as exuberant as her love for Taylor Swift. Every conversation she involves herself in is filled with passion and excitement. Her witty humor is quick to make me laugh, and I have nothing but love for her.

But Nandini is much more than that. I find it hard to express myself, but it didn’t take much for Nandini to ask me how I was. Nandini’s genuine care to ask me how I was still sticks with me. But, her attentiveness towards others is just one of the many facets to her identity.

Perhaps it is her ability to empathize with others that makes her such a brilliant photographer. Whether it is capturing a picture of two brothers that play soccer, a dancer’s love for her sport or a senior’s plan to join the military, Nandini understands her subjects.

Whatever Nandini does in the future will be filled with passion and love, just like the passion and love she puts towards every photo she takes and conversation she makes right now.
