District safety and security coordinator leaves district for position at CFBISD

Coppell ISD coordinator of safety and security Rachael Freeman has left the district to serve in the same role at Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. Freeman worked in this role in CISD for three years and started in CFBISD this week as director of school safety and security.

Coppell ISD coordinator of safety and security Rachael Freeman has been named the director of school safety and security at Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. 

According to her LinkedIn profile, Freeman worked as CISD’s coordinator of safety and security for the past three years, and worked as a school resource officer for six years. Prior to working for CISD, Freeman worked for the Coppell Police Department for nearly 20 years. 

CISD posted the vacant safety and security coordinator position on Aug. 29. Various staff members of the CISD operations team and the chief operations officer Dr. Dennis Womack will cover the duties until the vacancy is filled.
