After committing to USC earlier in May, Coppell senior cornerback Braxton Myers has decommitted from the Trojans. He announced his decision on Twitter on Wednesday.

With the Cowboys in non-district play and gearing up for District 6-6A, Myers wanted to explore his options for college. Myers is a four-star rated recruit by Rivals and 247Sports.

“Really just being closer to home and I need to explore my options,” Myers said. “I really need to build my relationship with the USC business staff so I felt like it was best to decommit.”

With numerous offers from programs including Texas and LSU, Myers will now explore other programs in the South and Southeast.

“I have an official visit to Ole Miss and then I’m talking to a few schools like Texas, Auburn and Miami,” Myers said. “I’ll probably commit around October.”
