Tonight at 7:15 p.m., the Coppell softball team hosts Flower Mound at the Coppell ISD Baseball/Softball Complex. It will be the Cowgirls’ last district game of the season.

The result of the game will also determine the Cowgirls’ seeding for the Class 6A playoffs.

“We know we are going to face tough competition,” Coppell junior infielder Emily Fischetti said. “[Flower Mound is] a good, solid team, but so are we. We’ve worked hard all season and it’s our time to shine.”

According to the Cowgirls’ Twitter @CoppellSoftball, in celebration of the last district game of its season being at home, the first 50 Coppell fans to arrive at the game will receive a free pom-pom.
