After a tough 2-1 loss to Hebron on Tuesday, the Coppell softball team is looking to bounce back as it hosts Lewisville at the Coppell ISD Baseball/Softball Complex on Friday.

Last year, Coppell won at Lewisville, 10-0.

“I feel like coming back to a team that they lost to, they’re going to try to go big and try to get some hits off of us,” Coppell junior infielder Talia Stuchal said. “We’re definitely looking at their pitcher, because she can throw some nice rise balls that we like to swing at.”

Currently, Coppell is second while Lewisville is third in District 6-6A.

“We know how they play and we know what their skills are and we know what their weaknesses are,” Stuchal said. “We’re a really good hitting team so we’ve just got to lock in and string our hits together. We’re considering every game a championship game. Not one game is better or worse than the other. If we do win, it’ll mean a lot as a team just to build up our spirits from last game having a tough loss.”
