The Coppell girls lacrosse team started its season off with a tight loss after a high scoring beginning.

Today, the Coppell girls lacrosse team hosts Keller at 7 p.m. at Coppell Middle School North.

The Cowgirls are coming off a 12-7 loss against Frisco.

“Our last game will impact us by making us work harder, ” Coppell senior Haley Wenzel said. “[It] was really close up until those last minutes, so I think we will definitely be pushing 110% the entire time to ensure that won’t happen again.”

The team has maintained confidence in its ability for the upcoming game.

“I think we will do pretty good,” Wenzel said. “Keller is a good team, but I think the time and effort we have put into training for this game will for sure pay off.”

The start of a new season is also the start of team bonding.

“We hope to improve on our team chemistry every game we play,” Wenzel said. “We constantly hope to get closer with each other everytime we play.”
