To start the festive holidays, the city of Coppell will be hosting its annual Lighted Parade and Holiday Tree Lighting from 6-9 p.m. tomorrow. The event will begin with the parade on Samuel Boulevard and conclude with the tree lighting ceremony at Andrew Brown Park East.

Coppell High School Band performs a yearly performance to lead the parade into holiday spirit as the parade follows the route from Samuel Boulevard. towards north Parkway Boulevard, following west on Parkway, to reach the CORE parking lot at Andrew Brown East. More than 30 decorated seasonal floats with holiday lights from local groups and businesses will be featured.

The parade will feature a competition between the top three “Best Decorated” floats to catch the fan favorite. As the parade concludes on Parkway, the evening shifts to the finale tree lighting.

With a crowd, countdown and 65-foot tree, the subsequent tree lighting brings the climax of holiday spirit; followed by classic holiday cartoons on a 60-feet screen. The tree lighting brings together the Coppell community to festive activities such as holiday photos, crafts, face painting, letters to Santa, teddy bears and treats to end the night.
