Cowgirls place within top ten at UIL state

The Coppell girls wrestling team placed ninth in the UIL Class 6A State Wrestling Championships on April 25 at the Berry Center in Houston.
With a team total of 31 points, senior Hannah Francis finished third in the 215-pound weight class and junior Maria Husain placed sixth in the 95-pound class. Three Coppell wrestlers advanced to state from the Class 6A Region II Championships at Allen High School on April 16.
The Cowgirls conclude the wrestling season as District 6-6A winners and region runner-ups.
