“I was really proud, especially because last year I was an honorable mention and to make first team this year is a big deal. I was really happy I was able to step up and help out my team. The girls team got a new coach this year, and we are trying to redefine the culture of our program, because we haven’t done so great in the past. I really wanted to be a part of that and that kind of confidence was how I was able to make the first team. To a lot of people, it’s all they care about, but it was just a cherry on top for me.”
