Why did you want to be on the student council?

I ran to just see if I could get on and [because] if I did, it would be fun. This is my first year on student council.

What about the sophomore class representative role enticed you?

Everything I do would be watched, and I wanted to influence new decisions and make changes.

How did you campaign for the role?

I made this poster of me doing a thumbs up, saying vote for Corbin Chen. That was pretty much it.

What are you hoping to gain from this experience?

I’m hoping to learn leadership skills and gain something to put on my résumé when I apply to colleges.

Where are you hoping this experience will take you in your future within high school and even into college and your career? 

I want to try and be part of more leadership next year to build my skills.
