Alyssa Roemer – Honorable Mention All-District 6-6A Forward

“Soccer to me means just getting to work hard on a field, playing the sport you love with the people you love. I felt pretty excited when I heard, especially since my playing time decreased significantly over the season.  But the awards signify talent; while we have the most hardworking program in the district, not everyone got awards. We go to practice everyday to get better and go to leadership book clubs before school not to be better players but better people, the awards given out are for the best in the district and doesn’t necessarily mean if you didn’t get an award, you didn’t show effort.”
