“To me, soccer means more than just a game. I see it as a way of life, where all sorts of emotion can be seen through it – a way to connect with people and share that passion for the game together. I would say being awarded 1st team All-District is an honor since our district is one of the toughest districts in the state, and I won it among all the talented girls in our district. I honestly didn’t think I’d get awarded anything since I wasn’t able to play a couple of games throughout our season, I just thought I wasn’t an option for that award anymore. The past two years on varsity, I was awarded that same award, and I thought, ‘Why not try to win a third and final time?’”
