Leis will be floating through the halls as the Cowboy football team prepares to ‘lei the smack down on Weatherford”. The varsity team is supporting an impressive record of 3-0 and hopes to crush Weatherford in tonight’s game. Weatherford’s current record is 2-1.
The enthusiastic responses from students and teachers have encouraged the theme days to continue.
“I think Hawaiian day is great because you can wear really fun, bright colors,” freshman Kourtney Kennedy said.
Hawaiian leis are this week’s accessory of choice for the varsity football theme. With the game not at home, the students have to show support during the school hours before the team takes off after 5th period.
All of next week is sure to be crazy as students prepare to ‘throw back’ into the 60s 70s 80s and 90s. Friday will be spirit day and students will wear their homecoming t shirts, mums, and garters to the game, school and pep rally.
