Coming into the draft the Texans have some gaping holes that need to be filled from running back and cornerback to safety and help on both lines. With so many holes on to fill it wouldn’t be out of the question for the Texans to trade down, but trading up is almost out of the question.
The Texans definitely have a couple of players they would love to draft, but most likely they will all be taken by the time the Texans go on the clock with the 20th pick.
At running back the Texans would love to have C J Spiller, but he should be long gone and Ryan Mathews could easily be gone as well.
The Texans would also be thrilled to have Earl Thomas fall to them at 20, but his stock has been on the rise over the past couple of weeks, so the Texans most likely won’t address safety with their first pick.
Cornerback then becomes your most likely pick if Mathews is gone and with Joe Haden going before 20 the Texans will look to get Kyle Wilson out of Boise State or Devin McCourtey from Rutgers.
