Now that the Coppell hockey team has won the City Championship, they will play in the Texas Cup State Tournament this weekend at the Farmers Branch Dr Pepper Stars Center.

The Cowboy’s first game of the tournament is scheduled for Friday at 4:15. The team will then have games on both Saturday and Sunday, but the times and opponents of those games are to be announced because it will depend on Coppell and the other team’s results.

The Cowboys have not qualified for the State Tournament since 2003 when they actually went all the way to win state, so they are very excited to have come as far as they have. In order to express their excitement, they each shaved their hair into Mohawks, similar to how the football team dyed their hair blonde for the playoffs.
