Amateur photography is common at every twist and turn of Instagram. There is a plethora of student-run accounts focusing on the craft. Coppell High School sophomore Annjeantte Salcido runs two instagram accounts. One of them is a raw take on her life (often referred to as a “spam” account or “finsta”). However, as a whole, Salcido focuses on nature photography and its many aspects.

“The picture was taken in La Jolla, California,” Salcido said. “I don’t remember exactly where though. Honestly to me, the location represented a happy place for me. I love California and just being there makes me realize there are such beautiful things on Earth.”
