Creativity Showcase: Sophomore Shriya Vanparia

Anthony Cesario, Co-Student Life Editor

Coppell High School sophomore Shriya Vanparia has a passion for art, but she did not start off pursuing it. Originally, Vanparia tried out different talents such as band, theater and singing but they didn’t work out for her. After trying art, Vanparia loved how it was something she could leave up to her imagination, so she decided to continue with it — and the rest was history.

“Imaginary Pet” by Shriya Vanparia

“This artwork was an assignment that was given to me by my art teacher [Cameron Tiede] in Digital Arts and Media. The assignment was to draw yourself with a pet, so I decided to draw myself as a celestial angel with a pet tiger because I love cats and tigers are cool. I’m really into fantasy and celestial objects and stories. This is my first [Adobe] Illustrator painting,” Vanparia said.
