Kaleidoscope: A Celebration of Cultures to bring Coppell cultural diversity this weekend

The Kaleidoscope event will be held near the Coppell Recreation Center on Oct. 21 at 5 p.m. This event will will include live, free music and food for purchase.

There is nothing more enjoyable than a Saturday evening filled with fun, food and family.

 

The annual Kaleidoscope: A Celebration of Cultures is today from 5- 9 p.m. at Andy Brown Park East, near the Coppell Recreation Center.

 

Kaleidoscope celebrates various cultures through food, dance and fireworks through which attendees can learn about other cultures and traditions.  

 

This free event will include live music from the following groups:

 

5:00 p.m. – Milaana Dance

5:15 p.m. – Lasya Sudha Dance Academy​

6:00 p.m. – Coppell Community Chorale​

6:45 p.m. – FASCA Lantern & Ribbon Dance

7:00 p.m. – Rising  Phoenix Lion Dance Association​

8:00 p.m. – Lara Latin​

 

There will also be a demonstration stage performed by the following groups:

 

5:30 p.m. – Taekwondo with Coppell Taekwondo Academy

6:30 p.m. – Zumba with Sharon McCallum

7:30 p.m. – African Belly Dancing with Hathor Hendrix

  

The demonstration stage allows for people to try different styles of dance and martial arts.

 

Along with the music, there will be plenty of food for purchase Señor Locos, Liberation Coffee and Pop’s KettleCorn.  

 

There will also be a show of festive fireworks orchestrated by Pryotex.
