Grapevine’s Main Street offers free holiday activities for all

By Loren Hughes

Staff Writer

For those that are looking for fun yet cheap activities to do for Christmas, Coppell might not be the place to look.  A horse drawn carriage ride through Old Coppell is $165 (although I’m sure it’s extremely nice and worth the money). But for those high-schoolers that can’t afford such a ride, Grapevine’s Main Street is just the place to look.

Main Street includes free carriage rides, freshly popped kettle corn, holiday characters and free games for kids such as “Santa Says.” The carriage ride travels through the east part of Main Street, and the holiday characters include Ellie the Elf and Frosty the Snowman.

These attractions are available on Fridays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. (although the free games are offered until 7:30 p.m). Sundays are also available for a short time from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
