Returning Lariettes and hopeful members to be gathered in the CHS gyms today after school to participate in the annual Lariettes tryouts. After hours of evaluation, the 2013-14 Lariette drill team was announced, and at 9:30 p.m. over 85 girls full of excitement or crushed dreams walked out of the gym doors.
Though tonight’s process was long and difficult, not all tryouts are over. Tomorrow morning, the members applying to be an officer will gather for their shot at one of the five to six desired spots. With consistent high quality performances from previous years, the CHS Lariette drill team has high expectations for this year’s team. Because of the high expectations, the process takes numerous hours of preparation and tryouts from the dancers and the coaches. To find out the officers you will see during the 2013 football season, visit the Lariettes website.
