The 2013 Dallas Cup soccer tournament begins this weekend, and the CHS soccer boys are fired up.
With 180 teams from 13 different countries coming to play at the Cotton Bowl Stadium, the Richland complex and University of Dallas Texas, the Dallas Cup is the oldest and one of the largest youth tournaments in the world.
CHS boys soccer player Jake Shumate is playing in the tournament this weekend.
“Playing in such a huge tournament is an honor in itself,” Shumate said. “And it is a great opportunity to be able to play against different competition from around the world.”
Tomorrow through March 31, Shumate and the 900 international players will compete for the Dallas Cup championship.
