Coppell High School Hockey
Hockey at CHS consists of a varsity team made up of 17 CHS students ranging from freshmen to seniors, with 12 of the players nicknamed the “dirty dozen.” The junior varsity team also includes 8th graders as well. Ty Hennes, who played hockey professionally, is the coach of the team.
Practices are held at the Dr. Pepper Star Center in Valley Ranch every Monday night, although the majority of team members have club practices throughout the week. Games are normally played at Dr. Pepper Star Centers around the metroplex on Thursday nights.
The biggest game of the year is against the defending state champs, Plano West and Southlake. State is in March or April.
