Parks not just for kids

By Shannon Wilkinson

Staff Writer

With the indecisive Texas weather, people are always looking for new things to do. Parks are a great option with our sometimes balmy winter temperatures. Not only is there the newly re-constructed Kid Kountry, but there is the also the Klyde Warren Park in Dallas. This park, named after ten year old Klyde Warren, is the perfect place to bring your dog, climb on the jungle gyms or grab a snack. There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the fresh air in colorful tables and chairs. Klyde Warren Park also has a putting green, ping pong tables and croquet. The Dallas Morning News is the sponsor of a reading area, complete with books, magazines and of course newspapers. This recently opened park is the perfect place to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon. For more information regarding this park, please visit, http://www.klydewarrenpark.org/.
