Sleigh rides given in Old Town Coppell

By Shannon Wilkinson

Staff Writer

Every year through Dec. 30th, a large sleigh built and owned by, Dale Smart, is used to give people of all ages, the opportunity for a joyful ride and a chance to look at Christmas lights and homes in Old Town Coppell. The sleigh, thought to be the largest of its kind, can hold up to twenty people at a time. Anyone will enjoy the sights seen on this wonderful ride and not only will you get the chance to look at beautifully decorated homes, you will also get to hear cheerful Christmas music playing from the sleigh’s speakers. Dale Smart has been operating tours like the one in Coppell for about 15 years, and had the idea of showing lights in Coppell a few years ago. His sleigh is handicap accessible with a ramp and wide enough spaces for to park a chair. Be sure to book your tour today at http://www.pleasurespastcarriages.com/ for any day through the 30th with the exception of Christmas Day. For any other information you may need, call 214- 682-0727.
