The long anticipated movie based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Hobbit” makes its debut in the U.S., and fans are already pumped about it.
“I will be watching every one of the current movies in order, so I can hype myself up for the movie,” Hobbit fan and junior Zane Holmstrup said.
Breaking from tradition, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will release on a Friday Instead of a Wednesday. Critics estimate the movie will gross more than the previous Lord of the Ring’s movie, The Return of the King with approximately 120 million dollars based on surveys.
The running time for the movie is nearly three hours, and since it is in 3-D, there has been a lot of buzz on whether or not it will be good
“I may see it in 3-D, but I think that this is just an unnecessary addition as the main trilogy of movies were great without the use of 3-D,” Holmstrup said.
