Cowgirls head to Garland to defend state title

The Coppell Cowgirls are looking to defend their 2011 Class 5A state title this weekend in Garland. The Cowgirls will first face off against the Houston Clear Lake Falcons tonight at 7 p.m.. If they advance they will meet the winner of New Braunfels and McKinney Boyd in the 5A State Championship on Saturday at 7 p.m..

Coppell High School sent the Cowgirls off to state with its best wishes, see the video here.

Tickets are available at the door for $5 for students and $10 for adults.

The games will be broadcast on Time Warner Cable’s SportsChannel (Dallas ch. 185). Fans can also watch live internet broadcasts of the tournament free of charge on www.foxsportssouthwest.com.
