iPhone 5, iOS6 problems noticed by students

By Tolu Salako

With the iPhone 5 already released, some are happy about their newest phones on the market and others are not: due to the complications about the newest software, iOS6.  With iOS6 already available for download many problems have occurred leaving many Apple customers quite upset.

“I just downloaded iOS 6 [on Sept. 21, 2012] and it was really cool at first, until I started to notice the weird bugs it had; especially with the Maps app.” Junior Dave Kyong said.

With Apple trying to be a “Google-Free”  phone, Apple installed their new Maps app, in replacement of Google Maps. It seemed great at first to use a  three-dimensional map, but once the app failed to make special structures such as the Eifell Tower and the Statue of Liberty two-dimensional when on three-dimensional map, can certainly be a problem.

Another problem that has been noticed by students has been the inability to connect to WiFi. Internet is a huge concern especially for all smartphone users, making many Apple customers dissatisfied with the iOS 6 results.

Hopefully Apple will have an update to fix these problems.
