Tomorrow, Coppell High School cross country is competing at the Flower Mound Marcus Invitational starting at 7:30 a.m. The runners expect a competitive race.
“We did well in our last race,” sophomore Lovell Cox said. “Girls got third place and guys got second. That was only a mile and a half though and this one is three miles, so I hope we can expect to do great in this meet as well.”
Sophomore Jenna Waters is nervous yet excited about the race.
“Three miles for a race is a lot,” Waters said. “We run a lot more than three miles every practice, but of course during a race, a faster speed is required and their is a lot more adrenaline. I just hope we all stay focused and do really well.”
