2012 run to fund approaching

By Sarah Police

Staff Writer

On Saturday May 5, the Coppell Education Foundation will be hosting a 5K run (or a little over three miles) to raise awareness in the community about health and the Education Foundation. In addition to the 5K, there will also be a fun run for those who do not want to run a long distance.

While the Coppell Education Foundation is does not operate with Coppell Independent School District (CISD) they financially support all schools in Coppell in addition as to what is provided by CISD.

The purpose of the run is to help fulfil the requests of teachers to help improve their learning environments.

The Coppell Education Foundation also has several fundraisers that take place throughout the week. On Mondays nights, Anamia’s donates five percent of all proceeds towards the Education Foundation. It’s a great way to have some awesome food and support the community.
