    CHS tennis sets up for an unmatched season

    Members of the CHS varsity tennis team participated in the first round of district play today, sponsored by the United States Tennis Association (USTA). In the five different categories, girls singles, girls doubles, boys singles, boys doubles, and mixed, students from CHS proved to be very tough competitors.

    The district competition continues tomorrow, and at the end of it all, the best three players/teams in each category will move on to Regionals.

    Juniors Julianne Cauley and Logan Astudillo will be continuing to Regionals in girls doubles, either as players or as alternates, depending on their performance in tomorrow’s matches. Freshman Zixiao Li has qualified for the boys singles semi finals.

    Best of luck for all competitors, and we hope tomorrow’s matches allow even more CHS students to advance to Regionals.
