Dig for the Cure a big success

    By Andy Tabor

The Dig for the Cure program was another major success this year.  The Cowgirls were able to raise 15,067.81 dollars during the fundraiser.

The Cowgirls also collected over 3,700 dollars in t -shirt sales alone.  Players would sit on the stage in the cafeteria during lunch to promote the fundraiser and sell shirts.  Also money made from a bake sale was added to the overall total.

Laurie McNamara helped to create this fundraiser for the volleyball team and the Susan G. Komen foundation of Dallas.  Three years ago McNamara created this and over these three years the team has raised over 44,000 dollars.
